Prusa MK3S small light using common Leds
thingiverse
My Printer Enclosure Already Has LED Strip Lights Installed, But I Wanted a Smaller Light That Could Stay On All the Time and Provide Just Enough Illumination for My Octoprint Camera. I'm Using Three Common 3mm White LEDs Connected in Series with a Resistor Ranging from 750ohms to 1kOhm / 0.5W to Power the LEDs Directly from the Printer's Power Supply. This Way, the Light Remains On Whenever the Printer Is Powered Up. Note That the Original Prusa MK3S Power Supply Is Rated at 24V DC, So If You're Using a Different Power Supply, Be Sure to Size the Resistor Accordingly to Avoid Any Issues. I Positioned the Light at the Far Left Side of the Main Printer Gantry Bar, Keeping It Clear of the Filament While Printing for Optimal Results.
