Prusa MK3S Raspberry Pi3 Enclosure

Prusa MK3S Raspberry Pi3 Enclosure

I took the design submitted by LAB27 and gave it a fresh spin. The original used the Einsy enclosure for the MK3, but I wanted to mix things up. I paired the Pi3 components from LAB27's design with the MK3S original components, creating a hybrid that offers the best of both worlds. This combination gives me the advantage of the MK3S wire supports that Prusa built into the MK3S enclosure, while still allowing me to use the Raspberry Pi3 instead of the Pi Zero W recommended by Prusa. I also made some tweaks to the Pi3 enclosure, tightening up the fit for external interfaces like USB and HDMI. Since the original back cover had a hinge, I decided to remove it altogether. The new cover is longer now, and the bed gets in the way of opening with the original Prusa hinge design. To fix this, I added bolt-accessible slots similar to the main enclosure, making it easier to get things done.
