I'm giving credit to ticktock for originating this idea, even though I'm struggling to track down that specific thing right now. This contraption utilizes an 0805 SMD yellow LED (or any other color you prefer) in series with a 1kOhm resistor to indicate the presence of a filament in the filament sensor. Be extremely cautious when soldering the tiny SMD components, and ensure you don't overheat the filament sensor or risk damaging it. The LED and the resistor are soldered between the ground terminal and the sensor output pin. With this setup, the LED is on when the filament is absent and remains off when the filament is present. If you prefer the opposite configuration, you need to solder the LED between the 5V and sensor output pin. Be mindful of led polarity in both cases.
