Prusa MK3 - Robust PINDA Mount for Extruder Body

The Prusa i3 MK3 is an engineering marvel, born from years of trial-and-error and meticulous design. What sets my blood boiling, however, is the PINDA mount's finicky clamp - it's frustratingly resistant to gentle adjustments, requiring a brutal "Just a little harder...just a bit more" approach to set the probe height. And if that wasn't enough, its fragile design makes it prone to breaking into pieces at the slightest misalignment. To address this issue, I created a custom replacement for the stock MK3 Extruder Body part, which provides a robust and secure mount for the probe at the perfect height above the print bed. Locking it in place with zip ties is all it takes - simply slide the probe onto its shoulder and secure it with a zip tie. After a week of printing with this new setup, I've experienced nothing but pure joy and satisfaction.
