Prusa MK3 PSU Overkill Cooling Fan Shroud
thingiverse
I was a bit uneasy with the temperature of the PSU on my MK3 so I decided to put a fan on it. The shroud was printed with Colorfabb NGEN orange but PLA works fine too. Slic3r handles all the settings for NGEN (which prints really nice). I used a Noctua 5v PWM fan with a speed controller. You can't tell this fan is even running unless you turn it up all the way and put your face by it. I tapped into one of the 24v feeds at the bottom of the Einsey board and plugged it through a 24v to 5v USB converter. The PWM controller is held in place with a sticky back and the wire is attached to the printer frame with sticky hooks. Everything can be found on Amazon (links below). This thing works so amazingly well that I had to share it. I was printing the new extruder body in PETG and the PSU never went over eyelid temperature.
