Prusa Mk3 Pen Holder (8mm Rotring)

A clever attachment for an 8mm Rotring pen is mounted directly onto the extruder fan. A video from Teaching Tech, a well-known YouTube channel, demonstrates how effortless it is to create this accessory using Inkscape. https://youtu.be/CuWZWAfBsm8 https://youtu.be/okOPv19ncHo It's essential to use "G28 W" on the Prusa i3 MK3 for homing, as this avoids bed levelling and potential crashing of the pen. The holder can remain securely mounted even when the pen is removed, thanks to its high positioning that won't cause any issues during printing. Here are my G-Code header and footer settings for the Inkscape plugin: defaults = { 'header': """G28 W G90 G0 Z20 G4 S5 M117 Drawing.. """, 'footer': """M117 Done ! G0 X0 Y200 Z100 M18 """ } My offsets for this pen holder are as follows: X = 43 Y = 40 Z = 12.15 For the J Tech Photonics plugin, my Laser on and off settings are: On: G1 Z12.15 F1200; Off: G1 Z17.15 F1200; I'm considering reducing the Z height for "Laser off" to speed up plotting, given that the Z axis is relatively slow. Another idea I have in mind is creating a mounting system for a cutting plotter blade to produce small stickers or thermo transfer foils. More details will be shared once the blades and foil arrive.
