Prusa Mk3 Light Support

Prusa Mk3 Light Support

This light support mounts onto the spool holder and enables mounting of a 50mm LED lamp. It also features clips for securing a 3mm cable. The light support provides sufficient illumination for most printing tasks. I have used a 5V USB Arlec mini LED (Model UC0181), which is magnetic, and attaches to a thin supplied plate on the support. Additionally, it has an inline switch that I have secured with a zip tie to the spool holder (refer to photo). The light support provides sufficient illumination for most printing tasks, given its 100-lumen rating. For those in Australia, you can purchase this light from Bunnings. Alternatively, you may find it on eBay; however, be aware that prices there are often excessive. I did discover a UK-based website that sells the Arlec USB mini lamp: https://www.homebase.co.uk/arlec-usb-mini-lamp-light_p392863. You might also consider alternative options from IKEA or other sources.
