Using this light some details and areas may still be hard to see, like directly under the nozzle, but I designed it specifically for checking on prints. Either checking in person or via the webcam it provides plenty of light without leaving the main light on to make sure I haven't been attacked by the spaghetti monster. Here's a link for the light I used in this design: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LAAUCZ2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It would work with other lights, but was specifically designed for this one (link as of 1/15/17). I've uploaded the lid for the switch box and the complete file in case you have tolerance issues; you can scale and re-print just the lid if needed. I didn't include wire holes in the switch box to allow it to be adapted and placed wherever someone wants. For this particular light, use a 5/32 drill bit to drill the holes. The nut hole in the brackets is designed for a hex nut, as that's what I had available; it should work with a square nut too, but may just be a bit more loose until tightened. The screw needed should have a threaded section of 6mm or shorter. The screws I used were 6 mm in total length and 5mm threaded. I wired directly off the MK3 24v psu for this project. As indicated by the product description, it will also work on 12v power supply.
