The custom Drylin bearing carrier was designed to overcome reported issues or the need for modifications on the original gummy bear editions. To ensure accurate Y dimensions, the carrier is shorter than the bearing, causing it to stop in its proper place. The "feet" of the carrier are locating pins that center it within the bearing cutout. A groove around the exterior allows for a snug fit with a tight ziptie instead of a U bolt. When placed into the frog plate, the bearing compresses just enough to prevent movement while still maintaining its original stock position.
