Prusa MK3 / Freestanding mount for Raspberry Pi v2 camera
thingiverse
I redesigned the Pi 2 camera mount I liked from Mirar's project on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3183893). I borrowed Prusa's mounting arm and camera housing, trimmed them down a bit, and added an adjustable/extendable mount that can be removed and used freestanding on a base. If you want to customize it, I've attached the Fusion 360 files for your use. The Prusa arm is printed in ABS since it hangs off the heated bed. The upper section (cam mount pt3) was printed with supports due to its external overhang, while the rest of the design required no supports. It's made from PLA and has a layer thickness of 0.15mm. To assemble it, glue the camera body to the top supporting plate. Mirar's design for the body fits snugly, so insert your pi camera first before attaching. The joint screw holes are nominal 2mm in diameter, but I widened them out a bit to make use of the spare screws that come with the Prusa. Cam mount pt5 is an extension tube that can be used as many or none as you like. Since there are zero tolerances factored into the design, you can sand the inner tube for a decent friction fit.
