I just tweaked this awesome design so it makes full use of the available space. The original design used to slide backward during operation, allowing items to easily fall between the resulting gap. In the end, I managed to stretch mine 18mm longer than the original, but that required a lot of forceful pushing of the ribbon cables into the extrusion gap. Ultimately, I included a 17mm longer model here since that is the longest length that I think everyone should be able to achieve with some creative routing of their ribbon cables. I've included the OpenSCAD design file that uses RoboHut's original STL so you can print one in the size you want. Just drop RoboHut's original STL into the same folder as the script, open it up in OpenSCAD, and adjust the length to your liking. All credit goes to RobotHut for coming up with this great idea.
