User: I am currently calibrating my MK3 bed using a 240 x 210 square for the first layer, with a 10mm edge buffer for the skirt. This is a straightforward test to verify that my bed is level and my extrusion rates are accurate. My default S3D profile for the MK3 was initially set to an extrusion multiplier of 1.0, but I found this to be too high; adjusting it to .90 proved to be perfect for printing with PLA.
