The original filament guide clipped into place without any issues, but its looseness caused it to slide around the top frame of my MK3s. To resolve this, I reinforced the back of the guide, making it stiffer, and slightly decreased the space available for clipping onto the top frame, resulting in a snug fit. The wider clip effectively reduces the bend of the filament when Z values are at their highest and the extruder is positioned at the extreme ends of the X carriage. A closed loop version of the wide clip was designed to prevent the filament from getting caught on the opening and creating resistance.
