Prusa Mk3 Einsy Door Mod for LEDs
thingiverse
I installed the "Einsy Door" replacement file for my Prusa Mk3 and created a recessed cut out area where I'm using an LED light. This allows me to see the filament coming out under the extruder, providing better visibility during operation. To prevent interference from the moving head, I recessed the light, ensuring it stays flush with the side of the printer. I used these specific LEDs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DRDZCJW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. However, their RGB color produces a yellowish tone that appears blue in pictures. You may be able to find whiter lights that work better for you. In addition to the under-extruder lighting, I also have LED lights on the opposite side of my printer, attached directly to the power supply without interfering with the print head's movement. I added a small toggle switch to the top of the part, allowing me to easily turn the lights on and off. Unfortunately, I don't have a link to share for that specific component. This setup assumes you're familiar with soldering and wiring tasks, as it requires some technical expertise.
