Prusa MK3 Display Patch/Upgrade Knop direction of rotation (Hardware solution)

Hello, Today I corrected a bug on my MK3 display that had been bothering me for a very long time, maybe it's just like that for some other people out there. I think the direction of rotation of the menu button is simply wrong. Counterclockwise high and clockwise down is backwards. The controller should sit on the left side of the display. Since I didn't want to modify my original Prusa display, I ordered a new one from eBay for just under 7 euros (272287848790). If you're not interested, check out the instructions below V2. After my first inspection of the new display, I noticed that it differs from the original in a few small ways. 1. The cable jacks have the opening on the wrong side. 2. The reset button is flatter than Prusa's. 3. The knob is higher than Prusa's. 4. The display potentiometer is too big. However, it's easy to turn the plug sockets around without soldering. Just use a small pair of pliers (like the Prusa tool) and pull them off - they'll fit on the other side in just one minute. I looked at both board layouts beforehand and the wiring is absolutely identical. Then I tested it on my printer, and it works perfectly. And the highlight is that I didn't have to do anything else with the knob because only swapping this board made it work the right way round. It was easier than expected. Now for the other two problems. For the shorter reset button, I created an adapter that you can glue onto the button part in the Prusa Display Cover, but I'm not using it because I'm glad to have more play in the button now - I've missed it a few times when trying to press Reset. The longer knob can be changed in two ways. Either you saw him off on the right length (it's just aluminum) or you use another knob. I made two new ones, one with original optics and one with a finger ring in 18mm for my thin fingers;). Because of the new length, however, there are more options for other buttons that might not work or hold on the short version - so think about whether you really need to saw it off right away or leave it alone. And now the Poti problem - this can also be solved in several ways. Either you solder the pots around or just change the holder. I have a modified version ready for printing, or you can simply cut out the piece that's in the way and make a new one. That's how I did it. V2: But if you want to order a new display and do some modifications, you can also just swap the original Prusa display and change the direction of rotation. Just disconnect the two traces on the back of the board coming from the controller and going to EPX2, remove the protective varnish (like in the picture with V2), solder on new lines and cross the two tracks - that's it. Have fun modifying!
