Prusa MK3 Bowden for CTC i3 Pro B
thingiverse
This is a work-in-progress (WIP) component for my Creality CTC i3 printer. It's a Bowden setup that utilizes Prusa MK3 parts as a foundation, but simplified and merged with a reliable component for my specific printer. I've eliminated numerous screws and modified mounting pieces to suit my needs. My clone E3D extruder has an altered outside dimension for the heat sinks compared to the authentic part, so this design incorporates a larger margin to accommodate it. Some parts have been lengthened to account for the difference in distance between where the bed resides and where the rails actually are. I've separated test pieces to ensure the clone mounting will work seamlessly and may create additional pieces for other cloned extruders. This component has not yet been printed, so it may prove to be a complete failure. The only part that should require supports is the backplate, which would touch the build plate in an inverted orientation. You might need to clear out the teeth for the belt, but I've successfully printed this part multiple times already.
