PRUSA MK3 AIR INLET 45°
thingiverse
I thoroughly enjoy the recent upgrades to the Prusa i3 MK3 Extruder. Nevertheless, I'm not entirely sold on drawing part cooling air from the heated bed. Perhaps a slightly warmer temperature? Or expedited cooling of the bed? The 45° fan configuration only exacerbates the issue. Here's my solution: it also shields the fan from fingers and other objects. This inlet strives to introduce cooler air and protect the bed. Maybe I'm just being picky, but I think this modification is a step in the right direction. Additionally, I've tweaked the fan support for improved smoothness and added some extra clearance for extruder wires. UPDATE: Deciding it still needed something, I've incorporated a PRUSA logo. I'm currently working on creating one, so I'm not sure how it'll turn out. This could be an amazing feature with multi-color capabilities using the MMU 2.0. This logo is a significant improvement - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3346896 .step files are available upon request.
