The original power supply that comes with Prusa printers leaves much to be desired in terms of quality. After mine shorted out twice, requiring two repairs, I made the decision to replace it. MeanWell offers extremely reliable and high-quality power supplies in a wide range of configurations to suit any specific need. I opted for the NES350, as it provides the correct 12v output for my system (new MK3's require 24V) and boasts ample capacity at 350w. Although the overall size is similar to the original, the new supply is slightly longer, rendering the stock power supply cover incompatible. This unfortunate fact eliminates the bottom mounting option to the printers frame. However, a suitable bracket allows users to leverage the same upper mount on the Z-axis gantry plate while utilizing the stock lower mount with one of the mounting holes on the NES350. By doing so, it restores the Z-axis stability to its original state.
