I used two 608 bearings that fit snugly into the tube, but they easily glide on and off the custom-made supports. The bearings sit slightly above the edge, ensuring a smooth, plastic-to-steel contact free zone. The supports are from Prusa, and I simply shrunk the nubs that hold the filament tube to achieve a perfect fit. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 Mk2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 20% Notes: With no supports needed, the tube prints vertically without any issues. The bottom bearing stop is chamfered for a smooth transition, eliminating the need for support structures. I use PETg as my preferred material, which works well with the nubs on the supports. I'm guessing that PLA might not be strong enough to withstand the tension, but PETg or ABS should provide a secure fit. Post-Printing Bearings should slide in effortlessly without any resistance. To ensure smooth operation, I sanded each nub on the top of the supports. Cutting into them is unnecessary; sanding makes it easier for the bearings to glide on and off.
