Hi guys, This text is available in English and German. I've designed these parts so that they can be used even if you have packed your printer in an enclosure such as the Ikea Stuva cabinet. This allows you to use a spool holder and the vibration dampers at the same time (see photo). Don't be fooled by the print quality, the filament got stuck with me once and therefore left this unattractive line in the printed part :(. Inspired and enthusiastic about the vibration dampers https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1707045 I thought to myself, this must go a little better. These vibration dampers make your Prusa Mk2 or Mk2s almost silent. I even claim your printer will be up to 80% quieter. When the printer starts shaking through the vibrating feet, don't worry, it has to be and you will be rewarded with an excellent printing result. Since the above version always drops as soon as you lift the printer, I thought I'd make a different version. These dampers are mounted directly under the M10 threaded rods and fixed with cable ties. Extra 2 rectangles are integrated to use zip ties. There are exactly 2 versions of these dampers. Version 1: The damper is fully supported on the ground. Version 2: There is a small elevation in the middle where you can optionally glue down silicone feet. This increases the damping even more and makes it a bit quieter. Preparations: You need two parts from each version, regardless of which one you print, and that's x4. So if you've done everything right, you'll end up with 8 individual parts, four of which are always the same. As an example: Version 2 (with silicone feet option) Print file "Damper 1 V2" 4 times Print file "Damper 2 V2" 4 times I recommend printing these parts with PETG because this material is much better at absorbing vibrations than PLA. PLA seems to be a bit stubborn and less, much less, damping. Printing settings should be set as follows: Material: PETG Outer walls/perimeter: 1 Infill: 100% Under "Advanced" (last tab, see photos above) please make the following settings: Thin Wall Behavior - External Wall Type - "Allow Single Extrusion walls" At "Single Extrusions", set the lowest value "Endpoint Extension Distance" to 0.8 mm! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!! Otherwise you will notice after slicing that your part is not displayed correctly and it will be printed with a gap!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I wish you lots of fun printing, using, and enjoying your quieter printer!!! :) I would be very happy if you could give me a like and a made.
