I discovered that when the opening for a filament guide is situated on the side or front of the guide, it frequently catches the filament due to lateral print head movement. By repositioning the filament entrance to the rear through a custom channel, the filament no longer gets caught or 'clicks' as it moves around during printing. The opening fits snugly for 1.75mm filament, and the filament naturally favors the front of the ring during movement, which should resolve any issues with the original design. It is a tight fit on the frame, and extremely low profile so it won't interfere with extremely full spools like many guides do.
