Tired of Not Seeing Your Beautiful i3 Print? Don't just sit around - give your Prusa a beautiful makeover! Slap an IKEA Dioder strip onto your printer! Choose from a single, dual, or triple mount to get the perfect fit. Print two of the chosen mounts and your Dioder strip will be snugly nestled behind the vertical frame with plenty of clearance for your spool holder and filament guide. I soldered the wires of my Dioder to an unused output on the 12V power supply, so they turn on and off together with the printer - but still have a bit of independence. Simply solder the R, G, and B wires together and screw them into the -12V terminal. Then, attach the +12V (W) wire from the LED strip to the +12V terminal. The 003 models all shine their light towards the center of the build plate location. The 004 SpreadLight version spreads its light evenly across the entire build plate. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 Mk2 Original Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 25% Notes: Print with PLA, ABS, PETG, or other stiff materials. I used two perimeters with 25% honeycomb infill to get the perfect print.
