Prusa MK2 / ELP cam Bed Mount
thingiverse
Instead of employing a Raspberry Pi camera with my Prusa MK2/Octoprint setup, I'm actually utilizing an ELP USB wide-angle full HD camera (http://www.elpcctv.com). My preference for a USB camera lies in its ability to seamlessly integrate with other devices. I drew inspiration from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2113975 and https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1646474, which featured the base design I desired. The bed arm can be installed on either side of the Prusa bed and easily adjusted forward or backward. The back cover can be oriented in various ways, allowing me to route the USB cable from the case on the preferred side. Given that the front and back case parts close extremely tightly, I added two small apertures for effortless opening with a small screwdriver. Additionally, I included apertures for aeration due to the camera's propensity to heat up. The case is secured to the arm via an M3x25 screw and nuts, while the arm is fixed to the Prusa bed using an M3x10 screw and washer.
