Prusa Mini X Axis cable strain relief
thingiverse
I've created a temporary solution to minimize wire fatigue on the X-axis cable for the Prusa Mini. The original design leaves the cable precariously hanging by four cables without any strain relief. I've developed a quick and dirty cable strain relief system that you can print upside down without support for best results. To secure the cable, use a couple of zip ties to tighten the relief around the stepper motor (upper left) and attach it to the cable guide (lower right). The original ziptied cable cover will be covered by this new attachment. The dimensions aren't perfect, but they don't matter for this purpose. I've included a FreeCAD file so you can modify or remix it as needed. If you're looking for tiny zip ties, you can find them on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078NT5F2B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
