Prusa Mini - Simple LED Bar (No Tools or Hardware Needed)
thingiverse
This is my first "thing" upload, so please be gentle! There aren't many options for mounting (pretty much) anything to a Prusa Mini but I wanted to add a light source to monitor the print better. This is a very simple design to add an LED bar to the Prusa Mini. Two size LED bars are included. If you are printing with a Prusa Mini, you will have to print the 230mm version. The 260mm version is also available for you to print if you have another printer with a larger print bed (the 230mm variant is shown in the photos and was printed on the Prusa Mini). Both can also be scaled to the size you prefer in CAD software as well. *NOTE* If you keep your printer in an enclosure, you will need to print the LED bar in ABS or PETG to prevent it from warping due to ambient heat inside the enclosure. If your printer is not in an enclosure, PLA should work just fine. The LED bar is printed from corner to corner on your build surface. The Z Stepper Top cover needs to be printed with the top facing the build surface and supports are only required in the two corners where the holes are. Once both parts are printed, the LED bar slides into the hole on the Stepper top cover. The Stepper top cover then slips right over the Z Stepper motor (notch facing the back of the printer for the wires on the rear of the Z Stepper motor) for a nice, sturdy and snug fit.
