Prusa Mini Revo Micro upgrade

<p>I had some trouble printing after I installed the revo micro and the bondtech hotend…<br>So I decided to share what I did to get perfect prints.<br><br>Please ignore the cylinder in the .3mf - it is about my settings, which a 3mf stores so you can just open the model and look at the settings if you want to. (Or even try them on your printer :))</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>IMPORTANT: I heard a lot of people saying that their first layer was not good after the upgrade or filament did curl up their nozzle. Even just overall horrible quality.<br>You NEED to increase your nozzle temp, as Revo has a different way to report back temperature. If you want more details check out CNC-Kitchen on Youtube.</p><p>He has got a really informative video about the Revo which explains everything you need to know about temps etc.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>If you do not want to soley rely on my settings here is what I did.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Prusa says, that there is no need for a PID tune, which is ok, but just to be sure I did one though… Just plug your printer into your pc and connect to pronterface.<br>Afterwards you sent the command “M303” and take the last values and put it in your custom start gcode (does not matter where).</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Afterwards I did a MUCH NEEDED linear advance calibration….<br><br>You can go to marlins homepage and configure on yourself or you can use my gcode for the mini which I included. It goes from 0 to 1 in 0.1 increments.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Next thing I did was printing a retraction tower.<br><br>This is also a generated test.</p><p>You can generate retraction towers on tons of different websites.<br><br>I found that there is a need to decrease the retraction pretty much.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Other than that I wrote some custom g code to retract the filament after each print and deretract before printing so the nozzle is always ready to be swapped.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I hope I could help some of you… if you have any things I should add or need some help feel free to contact me:)</p>
