Prusa Mini MINDA Heatshield
prusaprinters

Simple edit for the MINDA probe mount to add a heat shield to help prevent the hotend from heating up the probe, since it does not have a thermistor (Like the PINDA V2 on the MK3S) to compensate for it heating up during long days of printing.

EDIT: julian_bauknecht on the forums graciously gave me the measurement from their MINI, so I used it as a basis and made V2, this one should in theory actually work on a Mini. The base part is from the stp file directly from Prusa on their github, I've just added the heatshield.

Make sure to print this in PETG.

OLD: I do not have the MINI yet, so I cannot verify the length of the heat shield yet. Once I do, I will do more measurements and edit this later. Feel free to remix it if you want to measure the distance the shield should be maybe 0.5-1mm shorter than the probe itself should be fine.

I posted my idea on the Prusa forums here:
https://forum.prusaprinters.org/forum/assembly-and-first-prints-troubleshooting/brand-new-prusa-mini-z-needs-to-adjust-on-every-new-print/paged/5/#post-274276

Print instructions

Print in the same orientation as the factory STL (heat shield side down) with build plate only supports in prusaslicer. I suggest a 0.2 contact distance for easy removal. At least PETG should be used. I didn't need a brim or raft to print it on my MINI.
