Prusa Mini+ Extruder Placeholder with integrated filament runout sensor
prusaprinters
Converting my Prusa Mini+ to a direct drive printer, the old feeder gets obsolete. So I replaced it with Adrian Dobre's Placeholder. But the filament runout sensor still dangles around. So I opened both designs in 3d builder, made a few cuts and merged them. Now the filament sensor is inside the placeholder, not dangling around anymore. There is a hole to insert the screw to fix the PCB, but the PTFE tubes are hold only by friction (I had no problems there, as the tube only works as “filament guide” after a direct drive conversion).Cable lenght might be a problem. I have one original Prusa Mini+ and 3 clones. They have different leght for the sensor cable. So you might have to extend the cable (or crimp your own)
