Prusa Mini Customizable Name Plates
prusaprinters
These are customizable names plates for the Prusa Mini. The default STL says Prusa Mini+ on them, but I included a fusion archive so you can change them to say whatever you want. I also included STEP files with no text, so you can add text to them if you use a different modeling software. You just have to keep the overall length of the pieces the same, as they are the perfect size to take up the whole front extrusion. When printing, I suggest using auto supports for the plates, and adding just a little bit of paint on in the middle. My mini had some trouble bridging the whole gap nicely. They are also setup so you can print both plates and the T nuts at the same time, with an M601 at the text height. For hardware, you need 2 m5x10, longer may still work, and 2 m5 8mm hex nuts. You print two of the T-nuts, and both plates.Install Instructions:Start by placing the T-nut into the extrusion and letting it fall to the bottom. Use an Allen key or something to twist the nut into the locked position. The T-nut is in the perfect position just sitting at the bottom of the frame, and shouldn't need moved. The lower name plate has an integrated T-lock, so put it into the extrusion horizontally, with the hole to the right, and twist clockwise until it is inline with the extrusion. It may take a couple of attempts to line up the hole with the T-nut, so you can just untwist the plate and move it up or down accordingly. When it is lined up, insert the bolt and get it started, but not tight. For the upper plate, start by threading the bolt through it, and loosely into the T-nut. Leave enough slop so you can insert the T-nut into the extrusion. The upper plate has a tab that will sit behind the lower plate to hold it in place. Slide this tab behind the lower plate and insert the top T-Nut into the extrusion. If you are happy with how they are placed and spaced, tighten it down, and then tighten down the lower plate as well. The T-slot nuts and T-lock are a remix of this hammer nut from thingiverse. I narrowed it slightly so that you could install it by hand.
