Prusa Mini Creality V6 hybrid mount
thingiverse
Hey, did you know you can use a V6 block on a Creality hotend too? I'm trying to figure out if it works. The MINI hotend is causing some issues with tight tolerances and bad heatbreak thermals, so I'm experimenting with different solutions. This design idea starts with a Creality all-metal hotend like this one: https://bit.ly/3cVvAK6 You can use the included block, but the thermistor might be off. Both the mini block and a standard V6 block can work too. Possible advantages: • Improved transition zone thermals • Possible silicone sock usage • Better heatsink thermals due to cable movement from blocking the fan Disadvantages: • Untested design • Only some cable routing, no top support • Not verified to work at all Required parts: • M3 screws with different lengths • Nylock nuts • Zipties • A longer PTFE bowden tube and a small brass piece from your mini's packaging Notes: • It should print fine without supports. Remove some bridging layers from two holes. • INSTALLING THIS MOD PROBABLY WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY EDIT 2020-03-10: Fixed collision issues and refined the design with cable routing and zip tie holes. EDIT 2020-03-10: Fixed bolt/nut holes for mounting the body to the x-carriage. Added STEP file. EDIT 2020-03-18: Added remixed R2 MINDA holder
