Same thing, different use. Stevens Buffer was designed for use with a spool holder that I don't possess. In the past, everything was neatly organized on a pegboard. With Steve's support, we modified his buffer to suit my needs. Changes made include M10 threads, modifications to the cassette (chamfered inlets plus size optimization), and the addition of MULTI MATERIAL ultra cool Prusa tattoo. The outer cassette can be printed as a single unit to fit the supplied holders. A skirt is also required, as the densely mounted parts may get caught with their neighbors, causing filament slings to malfunction. The skirt is thin and doesn't add much to the BOM. To assemble this buffer, you'll need M3 nuts and screws. You can figure it out using leftover materials from your MMU build. Most of the required components were reused. This buffer works flawlessly! I started three weeks ago and added more features over two printers. No loading failures have occurred so far.
