Prusa Mini Base Bracket and Transport Locks
prusaprinters

The mini is somewhat prone to losing chassis alignment on transport.
So I designed a brace to connect the y frame extrusions to stabilize the whole chassis a little. It is attached from below, using 4 screws M3x8 and 4 drop-in T-nuts M3.

Additionally I made belt clips and y gantry supports as kind of transport locks for the printer mechanics.

For transport, move the print head to the right and fix the x belt with one clip. Now the head can't move.

Then move the bed to the rear. Carefully lower the x gantry on two of the supports. Block the bed by applying a second belt clip to the y belt.

I strongly recommend not to carry your Mini using x gantry or z extrusion as handles. It WILL mis-align your printer!
After securing, just carry it holding it by the y front and rear parts.

Print instructions

Print in PETG, use a signal color for the clips and supports so one will perceive the blocks before trying to print.
