Prusa Mendel wooden printbed - Aachen edition

In Aachen, we constructed 10 RepRap Prusa Mendel 3D printers during a workshop organized by FabLab Aachen under the supervision of Josef Prusa and other helpers. The design was later used in a Maastricht workshop for ten more printers. To modify the design, we incorporated a PCB Heatbead Mk1 3. The adjusted print plates replaced the ones listed in the Prusa Mendel BOM: a 225mm x 225mm print top plate and a 140mm x 225mm print bottom plate. The RepRap Prusa Mendel parts guide on reprap.org provided further information on non-printed components ("vitamins"). To install the new parts, use your preferred cutting tool and attach them to your RepRap Prusa Mendel printer; it's advisable to build the printer with extra space for optimal performance.
