Prusa Mendel i2 modified x-axis endstop holder

thingiverse

This redesigned endstop holder is an improvement on the initial Prusa Mendel i2 version. The original holder failed due to a rotated x-axis endstop switch, leading to uncontrolled head movement. This revised model rests securely on both x-axis rods and was introduced at year-end 2012. Inspired by user interest in another modification, the creator decided to share this design as well. In a recent update, the author is repairing their Prusa i2 for printing flexible materials. They modified the holder with several improvements, including reducing rod diameter from 9mm to 8mm (eliminating tape use), increasing nut hole size, relocating switch cable tie holes, and adding bolt holes for mounting. The assembly requires printed parts, M3 bolts, nuts, washers, a switch, zip ties, and glue.
