Prusa LED Strip Holder
thingiverse
This is a remix of wschadow's awesome "2 LED light holder." Originally designed to hold individual lights, I utilized just the arms wschadow made to hold these 24v rated LED strips I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LAAZ2UW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Then, I remixed the same arms to fit on my Prusa in reverse. Also lowered them to avoid the filament spool. This allows me to have two LED strips: one in front and one in back. It really adds a lot of light and cuts down some shadows. BTW, the LED lights are pretty crummy, and one blew out on me, so I just soldered these 24v LEDs inside the strip on my own: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073QN6DTG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I chose to put an auto-style ring connector on the ends of the wires and placed it over the original power wires for the Prusa. So, with that, the lights come on anytime the power is on. No separate on/off switch. I'm using this setup on a Prusa MK3.
