Prusa Laser Filament Sensor Box - Bowden compatible
thingiverse
I couldn't find a solution for a bowden compatible laser filament runout sensor, so I designed my own. This box should fit a 'Prusa Laser Filament sensor' perfectly, allowing the sensor to slide into place effortlessly. I've provided two versions: one for 3mm and another for 1.75mm filament. Unfortunately, I haven't created a bracket yet, but you can use the hole in the bottom (for a 3mm screw) to mount it to a custom bracket, making it compatible with any frame or extruder setup. When printing this thing, be sure to check that the optical sensor is well below the filament hole, as forcing it too hard could damage your sensor - I learned that lesson the hard way! Edit: I removed the original box, which wouldn't have worked anyway; the filament was passing on the wrong side of the sensor. This issue has been fixed in V2, and I still need to design a bracket. https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Prusa-i3-MK3-3D-Printer-Filament-Sensor-Detect-Stuck-Filament-And-Offer-The-User-an-Option/32907430687.html
