Prusa LACK enclosure Long Top Hinges
prusaprinters

Finally finished printing my LACK enclosure. I opted to do a color change on corner pieces so that it would be colored to match the MK3. As I was building this new, and could use the larger acrylic panels without extensions, I modeled some new full length top bars for the door so that I could have the finger cutout and keep the black bar consistent around the entire enclosure, but these are shorter than the extensions provided in Ondřej Stříteský's design. Also added lighting, a camera and smoke detector under the lid. I’m very pleased with how it came out.

Print instructions

Print directly from the 3mf file using PrusaSlicer.

Otherwise print upright with 0.2mm layer height, 2 perimeters, 15% infill (it's mostly perimeters anyway). You only need support on the very ends below the hinge overhang, otherwise it may create unnecessary (and difficult to remove) support within the acrylic panel slot. This will successfully bridge on its own, but do check the bridge direction as the first time I ran this it ran the long way instead of the short crossing bridges.
