Prusa Lack Enclosure Desk Adapter

Prusa Lack Enclosure Desk Adapter

I recently created an enclosure for my Prusa i3 Mk2S using this design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2864118. However, living in a small flat and working from home requires adapting to new space constraints. My printer already occupies most of the room, so I decided to repurpose the Lack enclosure as a sitting/standing desk. Luckily, I had some spare plexiglass on hand. This design allows you to use the Prusa Lack enclosure as either a standing desk with a high monitor (mine is mounted on the Might Stand https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1703678) or fold it down for a sitting desk with your laptop screen. The desk itself is made from a spare sheet of plexiglass, cut to match the size of the door pieces in the enclosure. The desk arms use the same 2-inch screws as the enclosure for a secure fit. You may need to glue the plexiglass into the legs for added stability. To enhance rigidity, I printed additional supports for the front and back of the desk. This tray is perfect for a small Apple keyboard and Magic Trackpad. This is my first design, created using BlocksCAD. The parts might not be flawless, but it meets my needs.
