Prusa Ikea LACK enclosure - slotted hinged bottom corners

This is a slotted version of the hinged bottom corners of the Ikea LACK enclosure by Prusa. Using these corners instead of the originals, you can run a cable through the front corners.

My recommendation is that everyone should be using these instead of the original versions from Prusa. That way, you can run a cable whenever you want.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Notes:

No special material or printing methods are needed for these parts.

How I Designed This

I imported the STL from the original files into Sketchup. I copy/pasted the holes from the existing slotted parts onto the hinged parts.

To make the holes, I copied the U-shape of the hole from the original part, and then used push/pull to turn that into a 3D part. I used the "intersect faces with model" trick in Sketchup to merge that part into the model in the correct space. I then deleted the "hole" to make an actual hole.

Sorry if that's not clear.

Kudos to https://forums.sketchup.com/u/Box for showing me how to fix a problem with my part.

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
