Prusa i3 Z-axis leadscrew with 4 holes copper nut (add belt tightener)
thingiverse
2015/03/17 : Add Belt Tightening System This design targets a Prusa i3 z-axis upgrade to leadscrew featuring a 4-holes copper nut. The 4 holes copper nut type offers added strength, given that Z axis force is directed toward the nuts rather than away from them. LM8UU bottom stopper is incorporated into this design for long-term reliability. The LM8UU will not come loose over time. To securely hold the LM8UU inside, LM8UU top cover (placed by nut) and an M3x20 screw are utilized on the side of the top part. Incorporation of LM8UU inner tighten tolerance ensures ease in inserting LM8UU parts. The Idler employs 625ZZ or equivalent bearing with a 5mm internal hole. An M5x15 screw, paired with its respective nut, holds this assembly in place. For optimal performance, the belt tightening system demands an M4x15~20 screw along with a corresponding M4 nut to tighten effectively.
