This is a drop in replacement of the original design. However, adjustments were made to correct discrepancies with the Prusa I3 Vanilla source DXF file's dimensions. These modifications resulted in a better fit. Initially, this remix followed the same layout as the original version but addressed mistakes in the measurements that would have led to issues when tightening down the components. Specifically, there was an error of about 0.6mm off in the dimensions, which I reworked to align with the specifications of the Prusa I3 Y-Plate's LM8UU holes. Another problem found during this re-dimensioning process is that Josef Prusa's original design did not center the M3 screw holes within the LM8UU hole. The standard dimensions typically see these components positioned in such a manner for proper balance. In addition to these findings, there was another discrepancy where the non-filed portion of the LM8UU was measured at 23mm rather than its typical length of 24mm. To make up for the original design's shortcomings, I reinforced the mount by thickening the legs, which helps to support the bearings more efficiently.
