I really liked the clamp-style belt holder over manhandling belts into tight-fitting printers that shipped with a less desirable design. This one uses the clamp-style mounting, featuring a through hole for threading with a bolt and adjusting tension without requiring precise belt lengths. You'll need: 4 M3 nuts 4 M3 x 10mm bolts (12mm or 14mm work as alternatives; modify clamps to remove counterbore) 1 M4 nut 2 M4 washers (optional) 1 M4 x ~35mm bolt (at least 30mm is needed for adjustment) To complete the project, you'll also need to print two versions of the "Clamp" file, one mirrored. Print Settings: Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: High (low layer thickness recommended) Infill: Suggest at least 50% Notes: If used as is, internal captured nut geometry requires supports. Printing in high resolution (I printed at 0.15mm) suits small details well. To bond layers together and minimize shear stress, print at elevated temperatures or use large infill. Post-Printing: Carefully remove support material from holes and nut slots. If supports are embedded in the holes, run a drill through to break them out before pulling out wider supports inside the nut slot. Clamp belts to the block and base using M3 nuts and bolts; extra belt can be curled back on itself. Run an M4 bolt through the through holes and attach it to your printer.
