Prusa I3 Y Bushing Bearing holder - strong
thingiverse
This is a bearing holder I crafted. It features mounting holes 28mm center to center, which seems to be standard on aluminum plates I've purchased from China. The design is robust, requiring some prying to insert the bearing. Each end boasts an internal rib/hump that keeps the bearing centered between the ribs. I designed it with zip ties in mind as well, although they haven't been necessary in my use cases. If you do choose to use zip ties, make sure they're of a smaller variety - larger ones won't fit. I only used one zip tie in the picture for illustration purposes; in reality, the holder holds the bearing so securely that I don't feel zip ties are needed. STL and original Sketchup 2017 files are included for your use. Feel free to modify, share, sell, or remix as you see fit. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Steel Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 300 micron Infill: 40% Notes: You can adjust the infill to your liking; more than 40% might make it too rigid for easy bearing installation.
