EDIT: Use it for a long time. Now this design is DEPRECATED. This uses a GT2.5 belt. I'm working on a new one. This has some flaws in usability. Specially the carriage is quite a design mess. Next version will be done in OpenSCAD. Thanks for you patience. That's my last work, 10 hours of hard modelling ^^. What I hate a lot of Prusa i3 X Carriage is the wristbands to hold the linear bearings. I think this is a misuse of nylon and time anytime I need to dismantle my printer. So I decided to make something more "reliable". And that's it. An X-Carriage that holds those bearings with the two bolts used to fix the J-Head hotend. But because we all need to chill PLA during the printing phase I added a third component to blow the thermoplastic during extrusion with a 50mm fan. It was an hard work, due to my research to easy peasy printing, eliminating (I hope) the needs of ANY KIND of material support during the slicing phase. Haven't printed yet, so the only reason I know it should fit, is because the assembly stage in Inventor LT. I modeled with those parts in mind (and calliper):http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:391997 - Servo mounthttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26817 - J-Head Brackethttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:395920 - Bowden MK7 Extruder Have fun and comment for changes or questions! EDIT: Uploaded a "SLIM" version of the Blower/Chiller and X-Carriage to save some filament with the same efficiency. Instructions Apart of the two holes for the J-Head Bracket, all other holes have been undersized to thread them. Print at 40% infill and maximum 0.2mm layer height. In Slic3r put: Perimeters Minimum: 4 Solid Layers: Top 4 - Bottom 4 Assembly: Looking the Carriage of the Prusa in front -> Front Back Chiller This one will be fixed on the X-Carrige BACK using the 4x40mm bolts. The Back needs two 3mm nuts and two 3x50mm bolts.
