After struggling with various other filament guides, I decided to design one for the wood frame version of the Prusa i3. The problem with most of the other guides I've seen is that they cause the filament to slide over a sharp edge, leading to noise and wear. So, I created the pulley guide. I printed mine at 0.2 layer height and 190 degrees Celsius using PLA. After two weeks at 100% scale, I reprinted it at 200%. It's now much smoother and holds the filament better in its larger size. Just a hint! Instructions: When assembling this, use a piece of 3mm filament as the pin and melt the ends to hold it all together. Then screw it onto the top edge of the wooden frame and place your spool of filament behind the printer.
