I've reworked the design intent for this Y-Carriage piece to make it easier and faster to assemble with fewer potential mistakes and hassles than separate bearing holders and belt holder designs would: It gives a precise mounting system for four linear bearings, keeping them in perfect alignment. The single-piece Y-ends of mrice's design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:132739) have been integrated into this design to work seamlessly together. A secure cable land or clamping point has been included specifically for the heat bed cables. To avoid damaging the print or any surrounding objects, various edges are chamfered throughout. I've added a simple plate to mount a standard 200mm PCB heat bed to the carriage (version available now!). Instructions This is one of my largest prints to date, and even with a small skirt it barely fits on my 200 mm wide print bed. If like me you're still waiting for your printer's auto-bed-leveling feature to be implemented, take some time to ensure that your print bed is absolutely level and your z height is calibrated correctly. I printed this in PLA at 190C with a 50C bed temperature using 50% infill settings and a large amount of Pritt Stick glue for better adhesion. I didn't experience any warping issues during the printing process. Additionally, a T2.5 belt clamp has been included, making it easy to switch between different types of belts - just flip the clamp in the direction that's away from the printed part! Small prints often benefit greatly from lower print speeds, resulting in smoother and more accurate prints.
