Prusa i3 Wade Adapter
thingiverse
This set of parts, designed for a single plate Prusa i3 with T-shaped x-carriage, includes three different options for hot-end mounting. The "groove_mount" option provides a standard straight groove, while the "noscrew_mount" option offers a screwless groove-style mount and the "screw_mount" option features a straight hole. Additionally, the set now comes with two x-carriage designs and a hinged arm for attaching accessories like a 40mm fan. The SCAD files are included so you can modify these parts to fit your own hardware preferences. To assemble the mount, start by adding 2 M4 x 50mm or 60mm pan-head screws through the back part and slide the platform part onto the screws with the hot-end opening facing front. Insert your hot-end into the groove and slide the front part onto the M4 bolts, securing it with two nuts. Place the Wade-style extruder on the platform and tighten it in place using the 2 M4 screws provided. As you tighten the Wade in place, also tighten the front part to secure the hot-end. Finally, attach the back part to the T-shaped x-carriage with three M3 screws and lock-nuts. To use the fan mounting arm parts, attach one end of the arm to the front bolt using an M4 nut and washer, then connect the other end with a 15mm screw, lock-nut, and three washers. Mount a 40mm fan on the end for improved PLA printing.
