Eliminate the hassle of connecting USB cables on a Prusa i3 by using my USB relocator! This simple solution involves attaching a USB Female panel mount to a Male cable, positioning it at the front of your printer. The StarTech 1-Feet Panel Mount USB Cable B to B - F/M is a suitable choice for this modification. Follow these instructions: 1) Print the object with 20% infill and 2 layers; 2) Attach the panel mount to the bracket; 3) Secure the bracket to the left side of the Y-axis 10mm rod; 4) Optionally, use two 3mmx22mm bolts and nuts for a tighter fit on the Y-axis; 5) Route the cable around the left Z-axis motor and plug it into your controller board. Customize the opening or hole spacing using the provided .scad file.
