Prusa I3 Timing Belt Tie/Clip

Prusa I3 Timing Belt Tie/Clip

This idea has been lingering in my mind for a while, but I never had the time to act on it until now that I finally have the chance. When assembling my Sunhokey Prusa I3 3D printer kit, I followed instructions and attached the timing belt to the X-carriage using cable ties. As effective as this approach is, in my opinion, cable ties appear somewhat tacky and rudimentary. That's when it hit me - a kind of sleeve or ring can be used instead of the cable tie to clip the belt. It sounded ridiculously simple and inconsequential but, since I have a 3D printer, I figured I might as well give it a shot. And so I designed and printed the attached OBJ file, and lo!... it works like a charm! Now clipping the belt is incredibly easy, and removing the clip to make adjustments or replace it is just as straightforward (no more messing around with cable ties that need to be cut).
