Protect your Prusa printer's steel printing sheet from dust with this custom-made top fitting, designed to be slightly larger than the sheet itself. To create it, I broke down the design into 4 interlocking jigsaw pieces that can be easily glued or melted together for a seamless finish. The joins where these pieces meet can be further enhanced and strengthened by applying a flexible "Top Overlay", which is simply glued on top of the existing top fitting. This overlay serves as a gentle reminder to remove it before using the printer, preventing any potential damage or malfunctions. To add an extra touch of personality to this design, I used the M600 gcode to print the overlay in 3 vibrant colors, allowing me to switch filaments mid-print and achieve a truly unique visual effect.
